🎁🎅 Santa, Stories and the Truth
In this edition, we share childhood photos with Santa and the stories of how we found out he wasn't real.
Ems': I don’t quite remember ever really believing in Santa. Instead, I was more excited about proving he was not! 🕵️♀️ My inner Pink Panther detective spirit mixed with hints of Grinch was convinced that my parents were the real magic-makers behind the scenes.
One Christmas Eve, I stayed up all night to spy on my family, determined to catch them red-handed. And guess what? Caught ‘em! 🤫 I saw my mom sneaking in with a brand-new bike, ready to slide it under the tree. Mystery solved heheh

Agus': When I was a child, I fully believed in Santa Claus. I remember writing a letter to him with my Christmas wishlist. Every Christmas Eve 🎄, Santa would appear at midnight while we were stargazing, and he’d come with a bag full of gifts for all of us! That is, until one Christmas Eve, when everything was going smoothly - until my cousin pointed at him and started shouting, "He's Tata!" (my grandfather). And that was the night that my cousins, Euge, and I stopped believing in Santa 😂.

Gino’s iconic photo with Santa 🎅:

Den’s: When I was a child, I completely believed in Santa Claus. One magical night, while heading to my grandmother's house, I even saw a mysterious light in the sky that I was sure was his sleigh. That belief lasted until I was about 10 years old. One day, in the last few rows during the primary school, a friend casually revealed to me that Santa and the Tooth Fairy were actually our parents. Of course, I played along as if I already knew—for two years—just to keep the good presents coming! 🎁

Steph’s: I’m the youngest daughter, and my siblings are 10 years older than me, so Christmas was always incredibly magical. They went out of their way to make me believe in Santa, doing all the theatrical stuff—really selling it, haha. I used to include photos with my letters to Santa, like the one with the Barbies, which was taken in the U.S. The next photo is from a time when I already knew Santa wasn’t real, but it’s still one of my favorite memories, just the five of us together ❤️.

🎅 Personal Milestones
Abby's: Ah my favorite time of the year! On the home front, Gladys, the sweet pup I’ve been fostering, is making incredible strides in her journey to better health. She’s getting stronger every day, and I’m optimistic that she’ll soon be ready to find her forever home. It’s been so rewarding to see her transformation and be a part of her story.

This fall also brought some desert adventures! I traveled to Arizona for a friend’s bachelorette party, where I thouroughly enjoyed asking every 20 - 30 something male why he voted for Trump. (Needless to say I didn't make a whole ton of new friends on the trip!) Afterward, I spent time in Phoenix visiting another close friend. We took a day trip to Sedona, which was absolutely stunning. Hiking through the red rock trails was a highlight, with breathtaking views at every turn. It was such a great mix of relaxation, adventure, and quality time with people I care about.

Meli B's: I went on a trip to Iceland with my sister and had the opportunity to see the Northern Lights! The most stunning destination of these past few months! Iceland feels like another world, another planet. Seeing the Northern Lights doesn’t feel real; it feels like a dream! It has been the most incredible and exciting experience I’ve ever had, and sharing it with my sister made it even better! Although I nearly froze to death at -18 degrees Celsius!

I met up with MaLau in Madrid! She says hello to everyone and sends her best wishes!

Den’s: In November, I went on vacation to Salta and Jujuy with my boyfriend. We had the chance to explore the stunning landscapes of Northern Argentina, discovering incredible places filled with natural beauty and vibrant culture. One of the highlights was enjoying the best empanadas Salteñas we've ever had! In Jujuy, we shared relaxing moments drinking some mate while surrounded by the Llamas that stayed at our hotel. It was the perfect escape from the noise of the city, giving us time to recharge and connect with nature.

Agus’: Enjoying Mexico City, beautifully illuminated for Christmas, and celebrating our first holiday season with Frida - my favorite time of the year!
