😊 Personal Milestones

"Copita": Tecla’s first Mixer Event in Austin 🚀

Isa: Isa recently participated in a podcast where she shared her insights and experiences on motherhood. You can listen to the full episode here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9A0dhYEHwbY

Aleja & Vale: We attended the wedding of a childhood friend — we had an amazing time, and everything was beautiful. 🙌❤️

Agus: We took a day trip to one of Mexico’s so-called “Pueblos Mágicos” — Cholula, near Puebla. Just a two-hour drive from Mexico City!

Den: July was a big month for cooking — for a change! For Friend’s Day, my best friend and I made homemade ravioli for our group of friends. We were in the kitchen until 2 AM 🥲 (and of course, we forgot to take a photo of the final result). I also made homemade gyozas for my family!

Ems: Last Sunday, I visited a Nikkei nursing home with my Eisa group last to spend a lovely morning with the residents. We started with an origami workshop where we taught them how to fold tsurus. After the workshop, we performed a couple of songs and then gifted them toiletries and craft supplies for their daily use. My heart always feels full after these visits; the residents remind me of my own grandparents, who I miss very much. 🥹 ❤️ If you still have your grandparents with you, this is a friendly reminder to hug them so dearlyyy!

A quick Japanese term glossary as I used too many hehe: Eisa: A traditional Okinawan dance performed with various sized drums. Nikkei: Refers to the community of Japanese emigrant and their descendants who live in a country other than Japan. Tsuru: The Japanese word for crane. The paper crane is a classic origami design and a symbol of peace, hope, and longevity.

Majo: I returned to Peru after being away for almost a year. It’s been wonderful to see my family, friends, and pets again, but also to reconnect with my country on every level. Here are some photos from my first time in Cusco and Machu Picchu, a sunset at my favorite beach in the north, and the delicious food I had missed so much. After two months, I’m getting ready to head back to Buenos Aires, recharged and full of energy 💛

Meli B: We made sushi from scratch, and one day we did coworking at my finca — it was absolutely delicious! The weather was beautiful, too.

Vale: This past month was such a mix of amazing moments! I kicked it off with a Candlelight Queen concert (my favorite band!) with my boyfriend, which was an unforgettable experience. Then I went to a friend’s wedding with Aleja and her husband Santi. And just last week, I got the best surprise when my sister and her husband came to visit from New York. She hadn’t been here in almost 7 years. We made the most of it, explored Medellín, spent time at my family’s farm outside the city, had the best asado al barril, celebrated my grandma’s birthday, went to Casa Eterna (Maluma’s restaurant), enjoyed the classic cars parade at the Feria de las Flores, and so much more. It was truly an incredible month!
