✨ Gild Updates
GILD had an exciting month as we officially expanded beyond Austin with our first dinner in Dallas, a major milestone for the community and a clear sign of the momentum we’ve been building. What made the evening especially meaningful was how naturally the conversations, connections, and sense of community translated into a new city. The room brought together founders, AI leaders, and senior engineering leaders who were eager to share openly, support one another, and keep building relationships beyond the dinner itself. It felt like an important next step for GILD and a glimpse into how the community can continue to grow with each gathering.
We also released Episode 6 of the GILD Podcast featuring Kirsten Karchmer, Founder and CEO of Conceivable. The conversation explored AI, FemTech, fertility, founder velocity, and the future of women’s healthcare. As one of the most active members of the GILD community and a frequent attendee at our field events, Kirsten also shared her perspective on the importance of building strong communities where founders and AI leaders can support one another, exchange ideas, and feel part of something bigger.

😊 Personal Milestones
Meli B’s : I was in Africa for 10 days — 4 in Kenya and 6 in Tanzania. It was the trip of my dreams and honestly one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. We saw animals in their natural habitat from less than a meter away and it was incredible to watch how they interacted with each other.
We also saw thousands of wildebeests and zebras during the migration, and so many baby animals too. I spent my birthday there, and the people at the hotel were amazing. They celebrated with me and even made me a cake with my name on it.
It was unforgettable and so special to be there with my parents and my sister, enjoying safaris and the most beautiful nature together.

And, I arrived in Medellín during the week of the 14th and surprised Aleja, Vale, and Saris 🥹✨
The video is absolutely EVERYTHING — you can watch it here!
Sara’s: This month, I traveled to Cartagena for the wedding of a very dear friend. It was such a fun few days filled with beautiful sunsets, so much charm, and of course, some delicious desserts too. It’s always such a pleasure to be back there, as the city truly has something magical about it. Fun story: without planning it at all, I ended up staying at the same hotel as Aleja Arango and her husband, Santi, which made the trip even more memorable.

Aleja’s: I'm going to have a beautiful baby boy named Mateo, and my wonderful friends threw us such a fun baby shower where each of them painted a baby jumpsuit for him. We enjoyed it a lot!!
