👋 WELCOME BACK TO #TECLA-CORE!

Happy new year, everyone! We hope you celebrated the start of 2023 safely and in good spirits with family and friends. Over the past year, we have demonstrated our strengths as a team and made it clear that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts at TECLA. 2023 will be no different! This year is set to be an exciting one with new projects and challenges. Let's go!! 🚀

Do you make new years resolutions?

New Year's resolutions provide the feeling of a fresh start and a blank canvas that allows an opportunity to reassess your current trajectory and think about what you want to accomplish in the following 365 days. It's like pushing the "reset" button.

If you don't believe in resolutions or vision boards and prefer to set goals throughout the year, that's totally valid! It's about what works for you to reach your personal objectives.

🧡 Personal Milestones.

🇧🇷 Vee spent New Year's in Brazil! She wore all white and celebrated the start of 2023 at the beach with her boyfriend!

🇻🇪 Vero A recently went on a beach trip in Choroní and started reading the book recommendation that Ruth gifted her as secret Santa!

🇺🇸 Maripaz traveled to Las Vegas for New Year's! She also started Portuguese classes this month.

🇵🇪 Heyler's daughter, Arwen, had her first meal (papilla de hígado)! 🥺🧡

🇦🇷 ARGENTINA CAMPEÓN!! Euge shares footage of the day Argentina won the World Cup.

"My cabalas before every game: Sit on the same spot every time, dress my dogs in Argentina's jersey, and listen to this song (since then, it has become one of the top songs of the summer). In my mind, it worked and helped me ease the nerves, haha".

🇪🇸 Laura celebrated her first New Year's in Spain! "I received 2023 in my new flat, surrounded by the family I chose here. These people opened their homes to me when I first arrived in Madrid. I'm very lucky to have them around 🍀"

"And I cooked dinner for this brunch. I'm a chef now 👩‍🍳"

💡 INSPIRATION: My source of inspiration is The Cultural Tutor (@culturaltutor). It is a must-follow for Art & History nerds! One of my fave threads is this one.

📽️ WATCH: My recommendation is to watch Kurzgesagt. Its channel is all about science and the universe explained! If I can suggest one, this is my favorite:

⛰️ VISIT: Iguazu Falls - I went there in 2017. It's a magical place with many rainbows so close to you that it makes you feel you can almost touch them.

Getting to know more about Vero, Growth Manager. (P.S.: She celebrated her 1st work anniversary at TECLA last week!)

💬 What's the best place you've traveled to? And why? Pula in Croatia. It had a Roman Arena by the sea, which was just mind-blowing. It has an amazing beach, great seafood, and very kind people.

💬 What’s one activity that grants you pure escapism? Gardening. I feel like I'm always plugged in with phones, computers, TVs, and so on; so having contact with nature, getting my hands dirty, and watching seeds grow into food is beautiful. I have a small balcony where I've grown lettuce, celery, green onions, and more.

💬 If you could spend one full day with someone famous (dead or alive), who will it be? (tell us why too!) Jane Goodall. I admire her work as an adult and was obsessed with her as a kid. I wanted to go to Tanzania and learn more about the chimpanzees just like her. She forever changed how we as a society view animals and their emotions.

💬 If you could teleport anywhere in the world right now, where would you go? Singapore.

💬 What song makes you happy? Someday by Sugar Ray. It feels like a summer afternoon on the beach.
